I know this is strange to do - but, go ahead and try this - no one's looking:
Instruction #1: Lift up your hands as high as they can go. Keep them lifted and read instruction #2.
Instruction #2: Now, lift them just a little bit higher...
You did it didn't you? How come? Why was there still room for you to go higher? It is only because even though you were instructed in Instruction #1 to lift your hands as high as they could go - you held a little back. This is what we do - we hold a little back and we could give a little bit more.
What is missing that keeps us from giving our all? If I could answer in one word, I would say - passion! In the assignments for which we have passion, we give our all; for the people for whom we have passion, we hold nothing back; concerning the ideals that we believe in most, we withhold nothing!
When people do what they love, they produce better results which is better for them and better for the organizations they serve. How many people are simply doing what they have to do to get by, but have loads of potential within them that your organization is currently not benefiting from?
